Need to find new pipes for my 02 GT

My current tips are starting to burn my ground effects. My muffler guy gave me the specs cause he was having a hard timing finding what I need. Can any of you point me the in the right direction? Have no clue where to look!

3 inch around
no more than 12-14 inches long

2.25 or 2.5 inlet

straight with rolled edge

stainless steel

Re: Need to find new pipes for my 02 GT

I just bought my tips from the muffler shop. the tips should hang about 1/4in bellow the rear bumper and stick about a 1/2in. if you plan on getting new tips go with 4in tips. it fills out the bumper better. any good muffler shop will have what you are asking for if not they can order them for you. however summit racing should have what you are looking for too.

The only problem with running 3" exhaust on a N/A motor is you lose all of your exhaust flow. Under a high compression or a boosted application then 3" would work but not for a fairly stock application

No. That is what i have. Basically, I was referring to the tip size at the exit.

Yeah I understand now.

To the OP if you're looking just for a larger tip size, look at the various cat backs on American Muscle with their exhaust videos, they should give you a decent idea for how each size will look.
