Re: Best Cold Air Intake?

when it comes to the CAI, dont stress the brand too much they will give you 3-5 hp tops. my advice would be to check your local salvage yard/craigslist and buy one used. its a lot better to pay 50-100 bucks for 3-5 horsepower than it is to pay 300 for 3-5 horsepower

I have a bbk but I was wondering why you never see them in a package with the sct tuner. I was wanting to buy a tuner and maybe upgrade my cai if it would help hp gains?

I use Steeda CAI. Moved the filter under the hood allowing for larger filter hence more induct., less water in filter. Working on fiber glass solution to ram cold air to the stock duct filtering water out. Planning on insulating CAI tube. Temp prob. Not bad but it's there. Building a NA 350 HP+, 2 valve motor after PI heads. Working with a Windsor block. $ us a problem.

Re: Best Cold Air Intake?

I have used many brands of intakes, ( AEM Injen K&N BBK Mac)Keep in mind I have worked on all kinds of different cars both Imports and Domestic. Honestly it dont really matter what brand you get. They all pretty much work the same and gain roughly the same. Just make sure the one you buy is street legal where you live and you'll be fine. As of right now i use MAC on my GT and the only reason why I got it because it was on sale and it was street legal for California

Where is there a dyno in Charleston??? I looked and never found anything close. Only thing I found was a group that paid to have them brought in for a contest one weekend, nothing permanent...

My bad, its not really a "shop" he just helps people he knows, he builds cars for a hobby, he just finished a 69 charger, hes making a General Lee, he bought a dyno from a company that use to dyno until it went outa business, theres a shop that does it in South Charleston, but they might have went outa business 2, that was a while back, it was called South Charleston something

Re: Best Cold Air Intake?

Would he let me make a couple passes after I do my pulley swap? My tuner has already sent me the new tune for the extra boost. I just wanna see what kinda numbers I put down. It will be a little while though
