I have the kenne bell and intercooler kit I love this unit the install is pretty straight forward , took me a weekend to install after my tune my car produced 360rwhp and 341 ft lbs of tourque. The one thing I don't like is that I went with the boost a pump set up it seems very hard to tune to get enough fuel through the power band. I'm switching to the svt 255lph focus fuel pump, this should take the worry out of the fuel issue. I plan on forged internals soon and I have no dought this unit will easily put me over 500rwhp . Currently with my set up now I'm running 10lbs of boost.

I have seen a couple other posts from you and if I recall you are building your motor up with forged internals correct? If so, do yourself a favor and buy the 2.8 KB kit not the 2.1. The 2.8 sounds wicked and with the intercooler it will support over 700rwhp. The 2.1 is great for stock motors but when you build it, why limit your power by putting an undersized blower on it

I don't want anything ridiculous fast. Just a good 650 hp and ill be happy. That beats most cars out here by a long shot anyways.

If you are going for around 650 take cody's advice and do the 2.8 upgrade it will be more than enough and then some

Yeah the 2.1 wont be enough for you. Plus it will run crazy hot since you would be overspinning it. You definitely want the 2.8 intercooled kit to get 650rwhp

The max you'll get from the 2.1 is a max of 600 or so unless you over boost it. The funny thing about the 2.6 is that at 9 psi vs a 9 psi terminator the gt actually makes more power. 15hp or so. I've talked to a few guys at kenne bell and they all recommend the 2.6 over the 2.1. I honestly would to because with the 2.1 you get this sense of security cause you can run low boost from it and not blow you stock bottom but people ways end up putting to much boost and blowing them up. ALWAYS

I don't really have much advice on the tranny. I know the t3650 can handle a good chunk of power but I'm not sure about the t45. I'd probably just look for a t56 at a salvage yard or something and buy a upgrade kit. You can get the kits for fairly cheap and can make it nearly bulletproof. Or you can buy one for your t45 if you wanna save some cash, or be like me and prefer the 5 speed to a 6 speed.

Re: kenne bell reviews

you can spend a ton of trannys. if your willing to put out some cash (~$3000) look into getting a TKO-600. They can handle a ton of power and are built great. And if you ever swapped motors again, all you have to do is get a different bell housing and swap it out.
