Removing Eaton pulley

I'm going to attempt to rebuild my Eaton M112 blower and I've been looking for a puller to get the pulley off. Instead of buying a specific tool, couldn't I just use an ordinary bearing puller? I work at a maintenance shop and we have all sorts and sized of bearing pullers.
