Any of the name brands are equal really. Just make sure you get one for long-tubes as any of the others will not work.

No need to brand match really. I bought some pace setter headers once, they fit okay. You get what you pay for with exhaust.

Re: Best o/r x pipe??

depends on the sound your looking for. Just like dude said, you get what you pay for. For the most part the higher end x pipes are going to give you about the same horsepower, and each sounds a little different (I have an ear for music and sound) but honestly ive listened to almost all of the different set ups available and bassani x pipes are my favorite sound. Im set up with bassani x pipes to flowmaster mufflers. Right now they are turndowns, but im gonna try to fix that. Im bout sick of washing/waxing my car only to have dirt kicked up on it whenever i drive down a dirt road

I just put on a BBK X-Pipe with a set of flow masters. It sounds sweet. But I also have BBK headers with that, which makes a difference.

Mine cost around 300 bucks. The best way to buy them is off craigslist or Ebay if you can find good deals. probably not gonna find them in a junkyard.

The x pipes are just 4 bolts right? Can it be an at-home install?

Re: Best o/r x pipe??

Depends on your car's year. and you can do it yourself if you have a shop, and a decent mig welder/ jack and jackstands (if you dont have full body welding leathers do not try to get under and weld. you will burn the piss out of yourself.)

Not sure but more than likely yes. If you DIY, you save paying a shop around 200 bucks in Labor

Re: Best o/r x pipe??

I used a Bassani o/r X-pipe and it fit great, looks great, and sounds awesome! Took me about an hour to install. Sorta expensive but you get what you pay for.

Here's a video of my car completely stock aside from the x-pipe. That means stock headers and stock exhaust other than my bassani x-pipe. It's go more exhaust mods done since then.. Just took vids as a comparison thing.
