screen by mass air flow sensor - Mustang Evolution

screen by mass air flow sensor

I put cold air intake on and screen by the mass air low sensor came off. Is it needed?

Yes it is needed. Without it i have seen cars begin to run rough. It takes much of the turbulence out of the ait. Maf can get confused without it

Neither of my cars were bothered by removing it, but I have herd of ppl having issues. Lowflyn is correct though it is there to settle down turbulence in the air intake.

I removed it from my f-150 and it ran horrible and kicked and bucked might be different on a mustang

Rpm were jumping it was shaking bad didn't want to stay cranked

Mine did it as soon as I took it off I didn't even get out the drive way it was running so bad backed up and hooked it back up like it was but again also in a 07 f-150

Hmm, I didn't bother to put it back on after it came off. I've been ruining it this way for a a couple days and haven't any problem. I can definitely hear a difference with the cia and its runny really strong. I'll pay close attention to it though. Thanks guys
