Re: Supercharged Mustangs

Why not install yourself? I did mine in a weekend. If i had everything together and organized it would have all been done in one long Saturday. Save yourself $1000 and do it with a buddy. Start Friday evening, work Saturday, and easily be done by Sunday. And yours will take alot less time than mine since it is self contained. I didnt like the idea of tapping my pan so I got a Cobra pan and had an NPT bung welded in to make everything cleaner. So half of my Saturday was spent dropping the K-member and swapping oil pans.

Hey guys......i had to drop it off at a reliable shop because it needed to get dyno tuned and i am also getting my headers installed at the same time, so the motor has to be lifted and i dont have the tools....the complete price was $1800 with tax.....it would have been $1300 but i decide to get the headers on there to breath better! If i run 8 psi, have full exhaust, dyno tuned, and 75mm TB and accufab plenum, does anyone know what my RWHP and TQ would be?[COLOR="Silver"]

On a conservative tune to try to help preserve stock internals expect 375-400 at the wheels. If you wanna have a time bomb if can probably push nearly 450rwhp.

Cody has close to your set up and I think he is making 370rwhp and 380ft lbs torque , just keep in mind all dyno's read different but you should be around there

I went with shorties because they are better for daily driving.

Yep i have that exact combo, except I have long tubes instead of shorties, and I have a 70mm TB. I made passes where i put down over 385/400 at 8 psi but I didn't want to blow up my GT so he backed it off and Im running 370/380....for now lol. Boost is super addictive. I have another pulley that will put me at 10 psi if I can ever grow the nuts to put it on lol

1/4 mile times are all about driver, grip, and track prep. You should see 12.0 or lower though of you hook up

---------- Post added at 10:58 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:57 PM ----------

The dyno I went to have a "projected" 1/4 mile time of 11.55 for my car but that just a guess based on hp/tq numbers

Do not race him from a dig. You will get embarrassed (ask me how I know). Those new STIs are freakin awesome. From a roll we went 55-130 and I only pulled him by 1 car length
