AM adj. clutch cable trouble

Hey guys last night I put the adjustable clutch cable in my stang and I need to adjust the cable on the fork a little more but it is super stiff still, could it be like this because of the path of the cable or do you think it's the cable on the fork?

Before I put my cable on I sprayed some liquid wrench lube down inside on the cable to make a smooth pedal feel. You can use engine oil too but up to you might help.

I got a good pedal feel and everything is hooked up but I can't get the lock nut to stay put when I drive it moves I'm about to rip it out and put a stock set up back in
