Car not starting?!!

So my car doesn't seem to be getting power to starter, what could this be, what is the switch that allows the car to start when you push in clutch? Do they go bad?

If it were my starter wouldn't I here something at the starter, it's like turning the key without pushing in the clutch expect I am pushing in clutch, could this be the ignition switch, clutch pedal Ignition lock switch, or is it my starter

Best way to check if a starter is bad is turn on your headlights and when you try to start it the headlights will dim when the starter draws power. If it doesnt dim when you start it more than likely the starter is bad or you have a bad cable going to the starter. You may need someone else to watch the headlights while you try starting the car.
