A trac loc with 8 clutches will locks up tighter for better traction. There is so much friction with 8 clutches that it can make the car scary to drive on a wet road.

How is it on wet highways? Will I spin out doing. 80 or more, or is that just in 1st and so on?

I was asking because that's my next project, but I'm only upgrading to 3:73s because I plan on long trips.

Highway driving is fine. It's the slow in town driving that gets a little hairy. And it depends on the type of tires you have. If your running normal radials, you won't have any issues. If you are running say, Nitto DRs then you will have more of a chance of spinning out when turning. Like I said earlier, straight line driving is not an issue.
