Here's the engine all done up. this is his son's 2001 Cobra.

Also just got word that the same guy has a buddy with a stock cobra s/c system that he doesn't want that he'll sell to me for pennies on the dollar. Btw.. This guy's buddy owns SCT!! I just got a HUGE hookup.

One question.. Will my 4.6 2v wiring harness work with this 4.6 4v? I'll just need a tune, right?

Either way we're driving up to get the engine on Monday. I'll have tons of pics at that time!

Yeah the 2v harness will work. I'm writing detailed instructions on how to mod it.

I've been working on it alittle at a time. Im including pictures as well, and I have alot to go through. Weekends are about the only time I get to work it. but will be coming soon.

The GT harness will work just fine. I saved myself some cash by clipping EV6 Unscar harnesses from other fords (windstar, Taurus, etc). The color codes are the same on majority of them. There just some other tweaks and things. I would reccomend going to a decent yard with some 99+ cars and get some wiring from whatever ford has the best. (This is for using the same wire gauge and color combo) But I know its had to be patient but please try your best. I will have it soon with pictures. Probably in .pdf format.

We pick up the engine tomorrow! Turns out the numbers came back as a late June 2003 cobra engine! I'm so excited! And it supposedly comes with the entire intake and everything!

Also we got the front almost finished. Gonna take off thefoglight bezels and paint them to match. Gonna look good!
Still gotta refinish the hood, fenders, and bumper.

Also put my old engine back together. Lol

We don't have the rocker panels or side scoop on the driver side but most of it's on the passenger side.

I'm getting really excited! Btw.. All these pics are unedited. It just looks that good!

Looks freakin awesome! I was thinking the dude might have gotten the year mixed up. A 2003 engine is perfect. Do you know if it includes the supercharger as well?

Like quoted above I should be able to get a stock cobra s/c system from him for super cheap. This guy is really cool and he's pretty excited about my build and has been helping a lot.

I will have pics and details about the engine tomorrow when I see it in person!

Man you scored big time!

Check all the parts numbers to be 100% sure it's legit, then put the boost to that bad boy.

The valve covers has the build plate and found out the engine has been sitting, disassembled, since 2006 in a machine shop. Pretty killer.

So: Nomad has called me and informed me that I do not have what I think I do. It's a 96-98 cobra or markViii aluminum block.. Teskid at least.

Heads are DOHC but b series. Termis have c series.

The eaton s/c will not work with this block.

I'm screwed. Sahweet.

These are some C heads that are out now. But if I may ask what route do you want to take?

My engine setup is as listed

Forged I Beam Rods (Balanced rotating assembly)
Forged -10cc Pistons .020 over
SS/Moly rims gapped for FI
Felpro MLS gaskets
Clevite Bearings
Ported B heads
Teksid Block (Both bloch and heads have been shaved to bump compression)
Windage tray
04 Mach 1 Cams (degreed)
Mark Intake setup (for now)

Though the teksid block is found in 96-99 cobras it was a Mark engine first. 1993 being the first year for the 4v.

Cole was wanting FI, right? Iron block with forged internals. Couldn't you get forged internals for the aluminum block? Plus, I think he said it was a block. That is better than the Mach1 alum block for supercharging, right?

---------- Post added at 12:16 AM ---------- Previous post was at 12:14 AM ----------

Ah, I see the list here with some forged parts.

So he should be able to get the job done with this Cobra engine he has now.

---------- Post added at 12:19 AM ---------- Previous post was at 12:16 AM ----------

Nomad, what kind of power do you think your DOHC is putting out at the crank?
