Hey cole, don't mean to jack your thread but you have been in this engine search thing for a minute. I'm gonna have to replace my f-150's 5.4 3v engine. Do you think it would be worth $500 to keep it, rebuild it and drop it in the vert? Or send it back and get my $500 back for it?

It depends on if you're going to reuse your trucks parts to swap into the stang, I guess. Honestly I don't know too much about those engines but if I were you I'd sell the engine.. That's just me though. It's not worth my time.

Sell the engine, and use that $500 for mods

So now that my new engine will be sporting a fully forged rotating assembly and stage 2 cams plus some other goodies.. I'm looking at superchargers now! I plan on getting one in about six months.. Maybe a little sooner. I'll have everything ironed out so the drivetrain will support bigger power. Already got suspension and rear end done, working on the transmission soon, and my new clutch will have zero issues. I'm wanting to be around 500rwhp on moderate boost with the capability of swapping pulleys and kicking up PSI down the road to hit bigger numbers.

What have y'all been running?

That seems pretty perfect. Did you install the kit yourself? How much did the kit run you?

Making some headway again finally! Engine is done! I decided to stay 2v but went forged rotating assembly and stage two cams with supporting engine mods. Also getting a lot of other work done to the car and switching to BBK equal length tuned headers as well as switching to all mechanical gauges. Got a lot going on right now! Pics will be following as I get them. I'm constantly underway with my ship recently because we got issued a lot more hours this time around. Haha.

My mechanic is gonna do it right though and I'm so excited! Especially about my new dual disk clutch.

Nice! What made you decide to stay 2v? I thought you had the 4v all ready planned out?

Well I decided to stay with my 2v simply because I didn't really get the parts I wanted of my 4v build so I scrapped it and went with building my 2v up! Anyway it's gonna make big power eventually and will be able to run with termis I'm sure. I'm just excited to get it back together. I also am doing a lot more to it than just the engine. It's gonna be a decent build for sure!

And thanks for welcoming me back! I've been so busy here with the CG that I rarely have any free time other than me not working long enough to just sleep. Haha.

New stuff. and I have a TON of other new stuff that's going on the car. Replacing pretty much every line, cable, gasket, and mount. I'm getting more and more excited. I hope I keep getting pictures because it's pretty much just my close friend and my mechanic's project now and they're doing it up! I haven't seen the car in over a year thanks to being stationed in Alaska. But soon it'll be done! It's been a long and difficult road.

Sweet. I have seen some pretty cool looking Auto Meter clusters but they are super pricey. I picked up a used Auto Meter Lunar Series cluster off of eBay. They are hard to come by since they were only produced a few years.

That's awesome. Any pics?

And yeah. My buddy does a bunch of great quality custom work with gauges and many other things. I'm gonna tell him what gauges I want where in the gauge cluster and he's just gonna build it for me basically for the cost of the gauges themselves.

Looks good!

I'm still throwing around ideas for gauge clusters. That's low in my to do list right now. Haha

Depending on your budget a set of aim sports digital or Dakota digital would look awesome in a custom set up

It is a GT. My dad thought it'd look cool to badge it as Cobra against my wishes.

A pic of the pretty new internals. And then two pics from the trip underway so far the past few days. And then a pic of me finishing up some swimmer training!

Hah. Thought you'd like to see some of my normal life! Hopefully tons of pics and videos to follow soon. Engine goes in Friday if we stay on track with plans and should be running the same day!
