The stock iron block is good for 4 figures, don't worry about the block. Its whatever rotating assembly that you have in there that is going to be your power limit as far as the motor goes.

This is not to say that if there is something boogered in the engine or if the tune is really bad something can't break but these blocks are not the glass jaw blocks from pushrod land.

Aurora's heart died.

Got tired of the aftercooler hanging down so far so fabricated some brackets and tore the car apart to hang it right. Gained about three-four inches of clearance and it sits higher than the front bumper hangs down now. So it's like it's supposed to be. I'm proud of my little idea and creation. Haha. Probably keeping front bumper off for now since it's going on a trailer and it'll make loading it easier. Dyno on Wednesday!!

Had some extra time so I changed the calipers to red. New paint means yellow calipers needed to change. Haha

Aurora's heart died.

Also swapped out the center caps to chrome caps. I need to get rid of these rims all together. Everytime I look at them closely and see all the curb rash I get mad at the previous owner. -.-

Found a rear caliper sticking. So replacing both rears.

90% done with the job already. Figuring out how to take off the parking brake cable was interesting. Haha.

Haha. Within an hour of getting off the plane I had the front bumper off and was fabricating those aftercooler brackets.

I am bound and determined to get things done!!

Yep! If everything goes well the tune and numbers will be had today!! But I'm at least a tiny bit skeptical since we have been having some problems with the car up until now. But recently it's been running smooth enough.. We will see! Hopefully I can get some good video.

We are on our way right now. It's a two and a half hour drive. We will be there in about an hour now.

If it doesn't blow up then you'll see numbers!

Only went up to about 4200rpm and fuel dropped 15psi. This pump can't support it. Picked up two FSS 340 pumps to drop in and will support more than I need. Also gotta swap my coolant temp and my IET because I had the wrong IET.

Car made 390rwhp at 4200 though and the cams weren't even at the point to where they get crazy and I was only at about 7lbs boost.

That was another thing- need a different belt about 2 inches shorter because had crazy belt slip.

So as it sits they said after that's done the engine was responding really well so they have no doubt it'll be good with those changes.

All-in-all a day or two of work if we get on it right now. Next dyno is on the 11th of June.

Thanks Scotty! Hope so.

Trying to get around 12-15lbs off my 15lbs pulley. Trying to get a shorter belt to minimize belt slip.

Had a question. If I remove my stock dash instrument cluster and install this aftermarket one with gauges will the car start and everything? Click image for larger version

My electric guy said that he can't remember what year it started but some year started security measures that made it so if the dash was completely unplugged the car would not start so we would have to lengthen wires and leave the stock dash plugged in somewhere else and splice my new dash gauges in.

It's only to 4100 rpm or so but here's that final 390rwhp pull.

What a let down.
