Plus one is magnetic and the other isn't..

Hopefully the shop sticks to their word. Nothing is in writing yet but they seem sincere because I was 100% ready to tell them to get ****ed and I'm taking my business elsewhere and my lawyer will be in touch.. But they kinda won me over in a sense. They still shouldn't have got it THIS wrong but we will see.

And this six months will be absolute torture.. But I'll be getting my *** kicked in Helicopter Rescue Swimmer school so hopefully it'll fly by.

I've still been driving it since it is drivable for now. We have to pull the engine like I said.. So why not run the hell out of it?

Valve tap or not. Let's **** **** up!!!... As long as I keep it below 4k rpm. Click image for larger version

I'm might only be 23 and broke as hell but that won't stop this dream from being real.

Why 6 months? Have someone bring it to you when it's done.

Yeah. They (my parents since they will be handling the car while I'm gone) are talking about driving it and my dad's business car(that gets free gas) to North Carolina when it's done since it costs the same in fuel as it would to ship it, pretty much.

Time will tell! I don't feel well them driving it 1033 miles on brand new tune, brand new engine, brand new transmission, brand new clutch, and brand new rear end and axles.

Especially since the engine and transmission require fluid changes twice within that first 1k miles to be safe.

I'll probably get it shipped.

The wheel gap from those angles make it look like there is a gap there

I've been in Helicopter Rescue swimmer A-school for the coast Guard for almost six weeks now.

My mechanic friend is getting. My car to his house in a few days to pull the engine again and send it back to the engine builder to rebuild it correctly this time. Then he will get it back, install it, and then he and my parents are gonna load it up and head to the dyno to hopefully get some good news.

If it dynos correctly and everything checks out then I'm getting it shipped up here to North Carolina to me while I'm here at A-school.

That's all the news I have right now.

Read all 34 pages over the last two days. Saw the vids, photos, etc man and it is impressive. My brother in law is on a counter interdiction team in Galveston Texas and he loves it and has been in the USCG for 9 years. Seems like a really great job and I hope your enjoying yours. I'm an Capt(03) In the USAF and just PCSd to Japan last month so my car is in storage for at least 3 years (sucks). I've been postulating throwing around the idea of making the 4.6 fast with a procharger/vortec or just swapping in a new coyote 5.0 when I come back, but that might not be for 3-6 years. Anyway how and the hell could they of not used your teksid block and screw up by putting the wrong rotating assembly in it? I would take legal action for sure on this. Try talking to your legal office to see if they can even point you in the right direction. Just doesn't make sense. Regardless I hope your journey of putting this car together gets done and is as rewarding as ever (I'm sure it will be). Don't worry about the time it takes, buy a beater in the meantime and don't put a dime into it. Save slowly and build your car they way it should be.

I've been following you on IG while I've been out lol Glad you've been able to keep the project going while you're in training. She looks great! That paint really is sick. I hope when they pull the engine and rebuild again it all works out.

Hey y'all. Just about to finish up training here in the next few weeks! Looks like I'm going to make it!! This is a tough road.

Speaking of roads- my engine rebuild is finished and will going back into the car in a week or so. Just in time for me to take leave!

Hey bud. I used to live in Covington, on the Northshore.

I'm currently at ATTC Elizabeth City, NC, for this specialty school, and about to leave here to be stationed in Corpus Christi, TX.

But between NC and TX I will be taking a month of leave back home in Covington!
