So far it's only got an upgraded clutch and flywheel and a new stage 3 race transmission. Borla stinger axel backs and manual cut-outs after the mid-pipe (which cutouts are open right now).

Just ordered a tick performance master cylinder.

I'm not going to mess with this too much yet because I want to save up and do an afr head and cam swap as a first mod really. Then maybe intake manifold. But head and cam only really. With that swap the car cam be over 450rwhp. Yeahhhhh

How's it feel compared to the Mustang? A C5 Z06 is on my list of next car purchases

Do what I'm thinking. Thinking of a G8 as a DD. Fairly comfy, 4 door, and a 6.0 L76 (similar to the LS2 but toned down a bit, easy to beef up). H/C/I and troll people.

It's like night and day. The way these vettes are geared is awesome. It's a stock engine but still pulls in fifth. Haha. That's awesome! And even with all the suspension mods and chassis mods on r he stang it still didn't feel this planted in corners and I haven't even been to a track yet.

I can't quite be a sleeper in a z06. But it's pretty awesome rolling around in one.

G8s don't do it for me. They're sweet cars and can be quite the sleeper but I would much rather have a Vette.

Nice! I'd assume it's an 02-04 Z06 and not the earlier one? Planning on going to a road course at all?

It's a 2001 z06. I have some things I want to do to the car before I do anything crazy like racing it haha. The clutch pedal sticks halfway sometimes and such. Gotta sort it out. It's a notorious problem for z06s from 01-04.

Haha I thin that's because we're all just really jealous that you went from one badass car to another one.... and it helps that we all secretly want one as well

Haha I sold my Show winning vette to a guy in Fla to get back into a Mustang.

Car has taken best Vette in the state contest every year since I sold it.

Hated that go cart.

Congratulations on yours though.

Congrats on the car, its really nice, I miss mine now lol.

The tick adjustable master cylinder will usually fix the sticky clutch peddle. Also, you should install a remote slave cylinder bleeder if it doesn't already have one, it will make your life so much easier. Also, make sure you keep fresh clutch fluid in there. I would always change the clutch fluid every oil change or sooner, depending how much I beat on it. Btw, the corvetteforum is awesome, there are some many people willing to help and there is an unlimited amount of great info in there also.

That car looks amazing!!

It already has a tick speed bleeder. I change the fluid whenever it starts being anything other than clear. Brake fluid is too cheap to skip on changing it constantly. Lol.

Hey Cole...it was a 2003...hated it because of trans and gear issues right from the factory and it was generally just a PIA.

And it was like cruising around in a go cart.

Haha. My vette has a new clutch, race build trans, and I'm fixing the hydalics in the car. I agree this stuff shouldn't be an issue from factory but this is nearly sorted out now.

I love my little go cart. It's a super comfortable ride and today I tried to see what wo u ld happen if I just red lined and dropped the clutch each gear shift and spun the tires all the way through into fourth. Spinning tires at 70+ is a new thing. D:

That's weird, I never had a problem with the trans or diff on my 03. I bought it when it had 60,000 miles on it. I believe I was the third owner also. I was not easy on that car at all, but I always maintained it also. Keep in mind that I was at 750rwhp on stock internals, trans, and diff.

I know what you mean lol. I had r compound 305's in the back, and could spin them past 70mph no problem. Its definitely a interesting feeling lol.
