Exhaust setup help.

So I intend on putting an exhaust setup on my 96 GT. So far, I've decided with: o/r x-pipes, flow master 44s, and shorty headers.

Any ideas or suggestions on anything else I should put in to it? I've done my fair share of research but I'd appreciate others' inputs. Thanks.

Re: Exhaust setup help.

planning on doing work self or paying someone??? i just did my cat back(dynomax ultraflow) on my back in driveway by myself... advice- have a second guy, or better yet a lift. mine went together just fine, and i guess im happy i did it myself but shoulda paid a shop 100 bucks to have it done! my back is killing me.

anyway, now i realized gonna need the straight pipe(h) or mac prochamber; just isnt really loud enough for me, and power 'increase' really marginal at best. would love to go the header route too but don't feel like having the motor lifted or dropping another 6-800 bucks right now.

good luck and let us know what decide and how it goes!

Yea I have done several cat backs before def a do it your self job but a friend helping makes it way easier and the mid pipe can be done but having a friend for that is needed but you can look at a couple different threads up about the nightmares of what could happen ( I broke a bolt on the exhaust manifold and that's added three more days on to the project ) and IMO pay someone to do the headers
