I've been in the same boat for awhile. But I think that the FR500 are definitely better. Billett wheels are nice but the kind of seem like everyone has them. Try and get the black chrome FR500 too

I have FR500 and love them only reason I didn't get bullets is because everyone has them around here I wanted to look different.

I went from OEM Cobras to FR500's... Black with the polished lip. Seems like the trend is becoming "get whatever ISN'T a bullitt wheel" lol

In my opinion, most styles get old. But Bullitts seem to be timeless.

I say bullits! I had the 17x9/10.5 on my 04 with 315's out back and they were bad ***!!! I also think it's funny on how many people say everyone has bullitts so they got fr500's.. Seems to me that everyone has fr's for that reason... lol

Re: Fr500 vs bullits

I say bullitts too as I've had both FR500s and now have stock Bullitts. Both are really nice, but it came down to ride comfort for me primarily, i'm sure i'll get sick of them in a year or two and get something else.

I've gone through a few sets in the last 10 years:
1. 16x7.5 inch stock aluminum V6 wheels....couldn't wait to ger rid of them.
2. Sold them and bought a better, but ugly 18x8 O.Z Racing wheels...also ugly.
3. finally got 18x9 all the way around Chrome FR500s...loved them..however pitted a little here and there over 4 years of owning them and didn't like the ride that much of a 35 profile tire.
4. Lastly went back to a stock set of bullitt rims 17x8s. Nice ride, cheap tires, good look which one can always get some 17x10.5 out back to make it look a little more beefy.

I would get bullits if I had a bullit but the fr500s black with a chrome lip are probably my favorite wheels for a mustang

I don't care for the frs. If I was to get a rim different from bullets id want the 2010 gt500s but the problem is they are 18s and replacing tires on 18s is ridiculous

^ i agree 100% . most people go with the fr500 just because they want to look different, but they actually rather want the bullets.

Funny thing here is that everyone that says get the fr500 are just infact doing what everyone else are doing. Of course most have bullits especially if they have have 02-04 OEM. Id say rock the classics. I currently have 17in roush rims that I'm looking to off. I'm going to my bullits but with 10.5 rears. Some photos below

I don't see many FR500's around.. Especially compared to Bullitts or Cobras. Maybe in this conversation "everyone" is doing it, but on the street that is clearly not the case. I like both, but when it comes to my Mustang being different in a sea of black cars with bullitt wheels matters.

Thought about GT4s? I liked em over the fr500s cuz they can clear a big brake setup that I plan on doing.

145 each for the front 2 and 155 each for the back 2. Really affordable. They also sell em in the tire package wit either nittos or sumitomo tires.
