3.73 gears

Just wanted to post how happy I am with the 3.73. Best mod by far. I was torn between 4.10 and 3.73 went with 3.73 because I do freeway driving and I couldn't be happier. Great pick up but still nice on the freeway.

You've got an automatic?

That's great to hear! I'm sure they're a blast. I went with 4.10s and love it.

Do you by chance know what rpm you're at going 70 mph and 75mph?

That's weird.. Shouldn't be that high. My 5speed turns about 2300-2400 at 75mph with 4.10s.

But could that be why he's running such high rpm on his automatic with 3.73 gears?

Heck now I'm second guessing myself. I will verify with again tonight on the way home. With od on and with it off. All I really do know that gears made a very nice change in my car.

Keep in mind you are comparing rpms from a 4spd auto to a 5spd stick!..

Re: 3.73 gears

I have 4.10s in my 5 spd cobra - 2600 rpms at 75... 3.73s in my 5 spd v6 - 2300 rpms at 75... Not a huge difference... both had a huge effect... but the 4.10s are just Sweet! I have crap tires though, and it's hard to get traction with those gears...

For the speedo to be correct, a tuner or a speedo recal box had to be used.

Re: 3.73 gears

i didn't have to worry about the speed box because i had just put in some reverse glow gauges and had to take my needles off.. so got a speedometer app for my phone and set the needle at the right speed lol
