Hey everybody!!

Okay so now that i have my supercharger installed my auto transmission will eventually die....when that happens, i will do a 5 speed swap. My question is if i should buy a stock 5 speed trans out of 02 gt and buy a stage 2 clutch and rebuild it, or if i should spend extra (which i really dont want to) and buy a t-56 6 speed out of a 03 cobra.....what would be the best move for me? I want to keep this as cheap as possible..

I personally would go for the t56 (6 speed) swap, but if you are trying to do it the last expensive the 5 speed would be the way to go

+10000. Haha.

Also, how much did you pay for your t56 swap and what do you have to change from the 3650?

I went from a 5 speed to a 6 blew it up. Plus important building more of a touring car...gas mileage.

Re: 5 speed question!

Any true benefit between the t45 and 3650? I know ford changed over in mid/late 2001 tp 3650 and they were used in 05+ GTs, but is there a benefit of the 3650 over the t-45?

The 3650 is a little stronger. I put one in my 2000 when my t45 kicked the bucket. You will have to do some wire splicing but it's no big deal.

Do you know this for a fact? Do you or anyone know the torque ratings of both the t-45 and 3650 transmissions?
