Con- heads are only 3thread for the plugs so it blows plugs a lot.. Max WHP varies with how big your balls are. I wouldn't push it past 385rwhp at all. Honestly anything over 300rwhp is a tickig time bomb even with a decent tune.

Pros- trannies are good. One of the best body styles. A huge aftermarket part following. Pretty easy to work on(aside from installing headers)

There are a lot of other pros and cons but others will probably chime in.

Y would you want to get rid of yours? Put a tuner and cold air intake on it and those cars make a lot of hp. Then if you do headers mid pipe and cat back that's a good running 05 mustang! Our new edge stangs do blow spark plugs but only after you change them out. You HAVE to do it right for it not to blow one. But other than that the best pro is they are the best body style!

You wont get 400-450 without the blower first.

Even with twisted wedge heads, cams, ported intake, and supporting mods.. You're looking at about $4000+ in parts plus more in tuning for probably 350-360rwhp. Which is actually very awesome. Then add FI and you're probably going for 450+ at the wheels pretty easily.

All above numbers are based on gains from each product alone. You might see even further gains when all put together.. But idk.

Re: need info on new edge

Please tell me how your planning to do that! The only reason I went with a blower was because i couldn't reach those numbers NA. I originally planned to do a massive NA build but it just isnt possible on the stock shortblock

I have seen plenty of claims from multiple people that their cars were mid 300's with just trick flow heads, stage 2 cam, an the tf upper intake.

Re: need info on new edge

A friend of mine has the TFS heads (38cc for higher compression), Eddy intake, comp 278 cam, 75mm tb/plenum, cai, LT's, full o/r exhaust, and a dyno tune. He put down 378hp at the wheels on a pretty agressive tune. I dont see you getting any higher than that on the stock bottom end.

Of course I'm not saying a 2v at 360rwhp is uninpressive... It's actually very impressive. When you do it you should be nothing but proud.

The reason I know I can get that rwhp is bc my friends 02 GT reached 420 rwhp without a supercharger, I dont remember what mods he has bc its a crap load, he has the dyno sheet 2 prove it, nxt time I go over to his house ill make a list of his mods and put it up on here to prove it

Please do, not that I don't think it's possible but I would love to see how he squeezed every ounce of power out of that block.

I know it makes good power but I've always liked the new edge body a little more especially 03 04 cobras or a gt with the cobra bumpers even. Plus I found one that's a stick and I'm sort of sick of my auto

I'll bet the block isn't stock, I'm sorry but its just not possible to make that kind of power on our stock 4.6 2v's without a blower. And even with a blower 420 rwhp is super dangerous on a stock bottom end with factory internals. The motor would be grenaded even with an awesome tune.

Yeah he had to have a forged bottom end and even so I don think its possible to get to 420 rwhp without a blower. I'm personally putting together a build that involves a forged short block trick flow twisted wedge heads with comp cams, trick flow intake manifold with pelenum. Long tube headers shorty mid pipe + all my current mods and then slap a blower on it. But before the blower I'm only expecting around 350 IF that..

---------- Post added at 09:29 AM ---------- Previous post was at 09:28 AM ----------

All together this build is going cost me $8000 roughly
