It wouldn't be a bad upgrade for right now though, if you don't already have an o/r mid pipe. You could always sell it later.

So this will bolt up to my catback and to my shorty headers?

It should be a direct swap for your current midpipe

Re: Good buy?

Make sure you account for the EGR with the Longtubes... and also be sure you get it tuned.... because you'll need one with longtubes

Re: Good buy?

The longtubes will either have a port for the EGR or not... If you order headers without an EGR port... then you will have to do an EGR delete. I did that on our V6, and it's easy as long as you have it tuned for it...

I only had to do this because I ordered Longtube headers that didn't have egr.

Re: Good buy?

Longtubes create a better exhaust vacuum, allowing exhaust to exit the heads quicker... more air out = more air in... which leads to a horsepower gain...

I personally like them... I have LT headers on both my v6 mustang and my Chevelle... and am getting some for my Cobra later this summer...
