Re: batterie relocation

Interesting. I know that there are certain racing regulations and I'm not sure if that meets them. Check out what NHRA has to say about where your battery must be located. It's quite dangerous to have it there too in my oPinion. You ran the wires under the car right and not through it I'm hoping right? Im viewing via phone so I couldn't really see the finished product that well

Some sanctioning bodies require the battery to be in a sealed container, also a cutoff switch on the outside of the
vehicle. batteries also emit poisonous gases which will require a vent to the outside of the vehicle.

The Mazda Miata has the battery in the trunk with no ventilation to the outside. At least no more ventilation then his mustangs trunk would have.

I ran the cables under carpet like all others, driver side also a breaker that has a turn on off button is about one foot from the batterie and the batterie tray is bolted to the under of the car and top, gasses? dry cell bateries don't make gasses, and I know is not permited by the rule books so am putting a dummy batterie case in the front so they think I have one up front, to me that's a better spot because the 35lb batterie weigth is in the middle were there's no weigth miss balance like went is on a corner in front or rear I notice that went it was in left front the car left side front went down about 1 1/8 and on rear rigth also about an inch, making car un even, and were I placed it now only lower the car 1/8

I also use the breaker went I need to reset the pcm or work on the car just a push of a botton and is on or off also to disable the car complitly in case of a car jaker
