Re: Convertable light bars

there are many ways to fix it. with the top up the light doesnt really bother me.... my car is 95% only driven when the top could be put down~ so I dont run into the issue and no one rides in the back either.

I would just buy the switch so when the top is up the light wont come on~ its like 40 or 50 bucks and works better than a toggle would by far. Either do that or live with the light coming on when the top is up. The only other alternative is to buy the bar that has no light

Re: Convertable light bars

Same as Roush, the Saleen bar is made by CDC without the big ugly CDC label on it.

Re: Convertable light bars

Well I looked on AM and I didnt see a tan one, summit has a tan one made by Roush and Mr bodykit has one thats made by them with out the light. If you get the light its made by CDC..... I really want the light cuz it seems like it looks different when the top is down and looks more sporty I guess you can say.

Re: Convertable light bars

It's not that big of a deal especially during the day because it's not like you can tell because your driving the car. At night sure it lights up the back seats a little but overall who cares your not back there.

I don't have any, but why do the Roush ones suck spec? Just curious I didn't even know they made them

Re: Convertable light bars

Well I might just stick with summit because either way they are going to be the same price and I might just take my loops of and leave them off. But if I want to keep them how would you mod so where they didnt hit the bar?

Directions come with the kit....you take them off...cut a little off the inside....drill a new hole...re install...

its due to the big gap they have where the belt goes in, it pops out all the time. I would recommend following CDC's directions and cutting the stock one down and drilling a new hole~

I know I can do it, but I'm not at home right now im on a deployment and I was going to order the bar and this shop put it on. I want it on before I get home because soon as I have this shop because i want to take it to a car show that the weekend I get back. I think he is referring to the weight sensors that are on most newer cars that automaticly cut the air bag on the pass side seat. The way my dad was telling me its sounds like that, but I dont think he knows that the back seats dont have them esp in Mustangs but either way he was going to charge me 250 to do it.
