I'm wondering that myself, I should have stated that! The last I heard was to scrape them off! Or peel. I have no clue.

Re: Plasti dip?

it should, red and black is probably the most common color combo behind white and black.

I would just use plastidip, and then a regular clearcoat to be honest. realize though, when you use anything on top of the plastidip it becomes incredibly hard to remove, not impossible by any means, just not as easy

and search for the Project plastidip thread in the search bar. you'll find my thread on it.

Re: Plasti dip?

Yes, you can peel it off and it's not difficult at all. (I can't believe how well it stays but is still so easy to peel.) The only thing is, you have to peel entire sections at a time, as there is no good way to "break" or "cut" a section in my experience. So, I would either dip your rim faces first, mask them and then do the lips or do the lips first. If the two sections overlap, if you peel one off, you'll probably have to pull the other one off too.

Do you prep the same way as with regular paint, like sanding to rough up the surface?

Just tape off what you don't want PD'd and spray away, I guess? I'm gonna do this on the weekend. This should match up pretty good with my Mach stripes, etc.
