"Terminator" was the codename given to Cobras made between 2003 & 2004. They have supercharged 4V 4.6l v8's and 6-speed manuals with IRS.

Re: terminators

2003-2004 Cobra's "Terminators" have a Supercharged 4.6L 4V engine producing about 390+ hp, they are monsters.

1999-2004 Gt's were equipped with a 4.6L 2V engine producing about 260 Crank hp and about 230 hp to the wheels. They are ALOT less powerful than the Cobra's. But can be made into beasts if you have the cash to invest in them.

As far as the looks, both care are part of Ford's "New Edge" design, which lasted from 1999 to 2004, so the Gt and the Cobra share the same all around body style, but you can easily tell them apart.

The terminators actually came out after the 4th gen F-Bodies died. It was more of a nail in GM's coffin.

Thats because the new camaros are super sub par performance. I like how they are supposed to have 426 hp and that's like the only car I've ever seen that seems to have a legit crank power cause they dyno stock at around 350 rwhp or so. The new 5.0 is supposed to have 412 and actually dyno around 380 rwhp. Wonder why the gms are losing? Lol all those years of them dumping the lt1 and ls1 with alot more power in them then the stangs have caught up to them.

And what really funny too is how that 426hp is actually only in the manual!.. The auto only has about 400hp!.. Lol

Re: terminators

Terminators are just the code name for the development of the 2003 and 2004 Cobra Mustang by SVT. (All 93+ Cobras are developed by SVT and all are SVT Cobras).

Just a term to separate them from the 99-01 Cobras which are not nearly the same or as powerful.

Want to read a great book on them, purchase Iron Fist, Lead Foot.
