short throw shifter

Does anybody have the $60 shifter from am? On my phone and don't no how to post pictures. I figure any upgrade would be better than stock. I have a 96 ft. So is it worth the money or should I hold out and try to save up for a better one?

Re: short throw shifter

So it don't matter if they're used? They don't wear out? I'd hate to buy used one and it wouldn't last that long. I don't rip and tear on the stang actually bought it Valentine's day and haven't even dumped clutch yet. I no I no but don't want to teat it up. Plus tires ain't the best (bought that way).

Re: short throw shifter

well I just said used since you wanted to save a little money~ if they are slightly used it should be ok. New MGW is more but its a better shifter, either are good though

Re: short throw shifter

Aren't the mgws like $300? That's way to much for me. My limit would be at 200 tops.

tri ax = 189.00 AM sells a short throw for 89 I think. I like my tri ax the throw is shorter, never miss 3rd and it is comfortable. I did get my tri-ax used and did have to clean it up. Get what you want overall. Just remember this, not everything in the magazines is gold.

I just received my shifter from MGW today and it looks amazing! The quality is top notch. I ordered it directly for my tremek 3650 from MGW ltd. for $185.00 plus $11.00 for shipping. Their customer service was great also, the woman who I spoke with was very helpful. I will install it tomorrow and let everyone know what I think about the feel. I have used Hurst shifters in the past, and the quality of the MGW is far superior to Hurst.

The MGW is very competitively priced, there really wasn't any reason for me to look at any other short shifters. Yes, I just took a few different pics of my shifter for my tr 3650 transmission.

Well folks here is your Million Dollar answer here. Because of it being price competitively the MGW is the only shifter worth having.. We should make a sticky for this section. It should read "ATTENTION, The Only Shifter to Buy". Well off to take picks of my short throw shifter.

Ive heard nothin but good things from mgw. However i had the steeda tri-ax on my 00gt for about 7-8 years and loved every shift from day one. They dont have reverse lockout or i would have on my 12 right now.

I just installed the MGW and I am pleased. Only about a half hour in total to install the new shifter and the throws are short and precise.
