Stage 3 cams

I am just about ready to pull my motor out of my old stang and I am sending the block out to get bored and going with trick flow heads, diamond pistons and I really want stage 3 cams but my friend keeps telling me it I get them I will lose 30-40rwhp? Is this true and will it really make a difference since the motor will be stroked??!!

Normally when you get stage 3 cams you gain rwhp and rwtq instead of lose it... I don't know why he would tell you that.

You wouldn't loose power on top end. That is a big cam and drivability will be affected. You would loose some off idle torque due to the fact the power range is somewhere in the 3k to 6.5k. But you would gain hp as long as the heads and intake flowed good.

Make sure you don't drop those cams in until you get those trick flows cause you will have to much lift for the clearance you have with the stock heads. Trick flows allow the biggest can you can get for the 2v because of the different placement of the valves.
