Head Swap

Starting to get a rattle from the top end so I was thinking about the pi head swap. My car is a 96 GT. Anybody that has done this, could you tell me a parts list. Obviously heads and intake, but what else might I run into. Thanks for the help.

If you got the extra cash, I would do some aftermarket heads for a PI motor, like from TrickFlow!.. You will get some huge gains then!..

As far as doing the actual swap, unfortunatly I can't help you much there!..

Hello E, good to see you on the forum, but those TF are expensive. Heard about Patriot heads only they don't shift the Valve flow to opposite sides, but they do change compression to 44cc. Stock is 51 I think. What you think? I will spend the rest of the year researching, so take your time.

I've heard that those Patriot heads have valve seal issues. I don't have personal experience wit them but that's what I've heard about them.

I haven heard anything bad about Trick Flow yet, but I havent done much research. I was always told that the patriots are almost the equivalent of a P&P set of PI heads, minus the decreased combustion chamber.

Awesome! I plan on getting those heads eventually seeing as there's no other good set out there
