Fuel filter removal tool

Does anybody know if you can change the fuel filter without the removal tool? I bought the filter and didn't know about the tool to help disconnect the fuel lines from the filter.

No you need a fuel line disconnect tool. They are rather inexpensive but worth it. Don't try to force it off (I did that before, wasn't fun.

Re: Fuel filter removal tool

As said you will need the tool, but even at $20 it's worth the price...figure a Ford dealership or other service shop would charge you ~60-75 for a fuel filter service...you're already ahead.
