Head and cam swap

How hard of a job is it to replace my heads with a set of fully assembled heads from CMS or MHS? I can get the fully assembled heads for around $2,000 with the stage 2 cams I want, and I would love to save the money and install them myself.

Time consuming, if you have never done it I would recommend making sure you have secondary means of transportation incase you don't get it done in the planned amount of time. But you can do anything with time and a good manual and some tools!

Sounds good, I just got a buddy to help and I have a backup vehicle, so I think I'll give it a shot!

Re: Head and cam swap

cams are a bithc plain and simple... the keepers on the springs, the two little half cylinders... yeah dont lose those. on top of so many other things that need to be cautiously done in such a project. if you are just a backyard mechanic, I would highly recommend paying to have it done

on a side note, I will always encourage someone who is willing to learn!
