CCRM help!!!

I think i've troubleshot my a/c clutch not engaging to a CCRM issue. Now my question is... Does the exact p/n have to match cause i've called a couple places and some people want to sell me a module based on year model and others on p/n and type.

Yes part number is important. I have tried several different ccrms in different mustangs and most seem to work correct in all areas except for the a/c

Also if you are knowledgable in electronics you can do a pin out test to see where you are loosing power. Normally its just a relay and you can take the ccrm apart and replace the relay inside with simple soldering.
