31 or 33 spline

M gonna rebuild my rear end and wasn't sure the capability of the 31 spline. I know 33 is enough for what I plan on doing but If 31 is enough I'll stick with it for availability of diffs. I'm planning on building a 5.0 big bore with forged internals trick flow heads and a kenne bell 2.6 running around 25 psi. Should make around 650-700 rwhp at full boost but that will only be at the track. Street driving I'll only run around 15 psi. I just don't wanna build a 31 spline rear end and have it break and have to do it all over again.

Lol well those numbers are guesses based off of another build I've seen. A 4.6 bored .020 over with 9.0 compression with ported pi heads, stage 2 off the shelf comp cams, and a kenne bell 2.1 made 717 at the engine on 18# of boost. And at that point the 2.1 becomes very inefficient unless modified which this wasn't. So I assume that with 25 lbs of boost at a efficient level on a bigger supercharger with meth injection and better heads that it should make numbers like that.

Re: 31 or 33 spline

nobody goes by engine dyno numbers..because your cant...the variables are to many because the motor is running no accessories..with no load on it really.. but i have dont a 2.6 build with trickflow heads, comp 270s at 15lbs on pump gas 93 and thru a 4r70w it made 600 on a safe tune...
