I have what I think is a peculiar problem in that my engine stalls at no particular speed. I can be tooling around the neighborhood, down the interstate it makes no difference. I can feel the engine quit and when I mash the clutch pedal RPM's go to zero. I can dump the clutch, or crank the engine and it restarts. I've seen some threads about the IAC but how would that affect high speed driving? It seems to get worse when the engine is good and hot. When it quits I get a "service engine soon" light but no codes. Watcha think?
the IAC should only become a problem when the car is idling, in neutral, not when you are giving it gas. If the light goes off when you turn the car back on then its just the cluster lighting up when the key is at the on position but the car is not on.
