Just bought my first

I am 17 years old and my first car was a 99 camaro with the 3.8. Now this is great car and I never had any problems with it, but it still had a six pot. I am going out in the morning to pick up a 97 gt with 84,000 miles. It has a cold air intake and flowmasters with H-pipes. Hopefully I added the photo right, but it will get some better pictures when I can get out with my dslr. Just want to know what you think of my decision and of the car.

Nice looking GT. Are you planning on doing any mods to it?

I had one guy call me about my mustang once when I was contemplating selling it and asked if it was auto or stick (add clearly stated this) and I told him autos were for sissy girls and any real man would have a stick...gave me some sap story about how his knees are bad and I bean to inform him that my knees and legs were bad too from a motorcycle accident but I don't baby myself and my beliefs still stand! He hung up on me...

Vet here too....amputees are an exception there buddy...obviously. But if you read in my post it CLEARLY STATED IN THE CL ADD that it was a manual. That's why I gave the guy such a hard time.

If it clearly said manual then the guy was stupid if u didn't say what transmission was in it then u were being mean all in all I have a Gt automatic and I love it and I don't think I'm a sissy either thank Q

Nothing wrong with an automatic.

This GT is the first clutch I've owned, but if I found a great one with an auto I would have bought it too cuz it's a good car. I just wanted it to be a stick because I've never had one.

Re: Just bought my first

I prefer a manual just because I have more control over the car, good hand-eye-foot-ear coordination helps too , and you don't have to worry about if the auto will choose the right gear.

Yeah i'm siding against autotragics. If you are physically capable of clutching on a cable tranny, it is a much more enjoyable experience having control over all of the powertrain instead of just half of it.
