Right marker light not working on my 04 GT...

Hey all, this is my first post here but hopefully it's one of many. I just purchased a 2004 GT with 75k (finally). I absolutely love it, it's a blast to drive.

Anyway, the passenger marker light isn't working - I replaced the bulb thinking it would solve the issue, it didn't. The turn signal works absolutely fine, it's when the headlights are on - the amber light that is supposed to constantly be on, isn't. What a weird thing. The fuse in the kick panel seems to be fine as well as the DRL fuse under the hood, can't figure it out.

Any help is greatly appreciated and thank you in advance. It's great to finally be a part of the Mustang club!

You're going to need to backprobe the wires on the marker light socket, and check for voltage first. You may have a short to ground, broken wire, etc.

Ok man thanks for the advice. I just took the air filter off, checked all the wires and they don't seem to be broken.

Also, is this the kind of kit I'd need?

I prefer t-pins. I just use alligator clips on my multimeter and bite them on the "T".

Ok, thanks for the help bud. I'll have to see if I can figure this thing out. If not, I'll take it to my mechanic as I need a tune up anyway.

Ya know, there's so many parts and things I want to do, can't wait.

Just make sure the light switch is on when you check (not trying to condescend) and take your time. Fixing it on your own can pay off, as you will certainly pay an ugly diagnostic fee when a shop is finding an electrical issue.
