HID replacement bulbs for driving lights

Has anyone switched out their stock bulbs for an HID kit? I have taken out my stock headlights, and installed smoked halogen projector headlights. I'm not overly impressed with the brightness, but don't want to go through the headache of modifying the housings to accommodate the HID bulbs. It comes down to me missing the brightness of the HIDs, and thought installing them in the driving light housings might be the best solution. Any ideas/ thoughts?

Well, I guess I'll find out tomorrow. They came in the mail, and I'll be installing them tomorrow.

I just installed a set of sylvania silver star ZXE'S, and they are a good amount brighter and whiter than the OEM bulbs. But I have no experience with aftermarket HID kits.

Good to know. If I don't like the HID's, I'll look into a set of silver stars. I had them in a Chevy Blazer a few years back, and they were a lot better than the stock bulbs.

Good luck with your HID's, let us know how you like them once you install them.

i had a cheap set of hids on my old car from amazon, they were really easy to install, and they were quite a bit brighter then factory and even the 50 dollar bulbs from orileys, IMO their worth it cause im blind in the dark
