I'm not looking for a serious drift car or anything.. I just want mine to handle nicely, responsively, predictably, and with enough power to powerslide through a corner every now and then.
So far, I'm having alot of fun with my car.

I'm sure I could fork out the money for the newer body stang but working with this for now.

For now it's just got fun and see where it leads.

Mine is a very modified, daily driven '94 with a 5.0l, 5 speed. She's not the prettiest, or the fastest, or even the most reliable, but keeps me smiling every time I see that car.

With your '97 I would look into a PI swap, CAI, TB, a good tune, exhaust, gears, and some good wheels&tires. That should help you kick out the rear end when drifting around those corners

Good luck to you, man.
Maybe some true corner carvers will chime in.
