cats

I have 96 ft and was wondering about my stock cats. There was 6 total. Previous owner took the last 2 out. Have 4 left, now my guestion.if I took the next 2 out would it throw a code? I'd still have the first 2 for inspection.

My bad ya it's only 164 it is a lot honestly I'm always worried about stuff going out on it I just blew the passenger head gasket and ****ed a lot of **** up so I did a head job on it and tore it apart with my brother in law ( keep in mind only 17 ) just need a little directing so the top end is in pretty good shape it would be a good idea to che anti freeze frequently and oil..but yes I'm pretty shure there is four but the only one that's messing up on mine witch is the first one on the passenger side so I'm pretty shure it won't hurt it......but they are 2 located right after where the headers bolt on to the exhaust one in eachside and the second set are a little ways after the cats infront of h pipe

Thought 96's have 6 CATs total?. Mine did, got rid of them and got BBK X w/mid pipe setup. Mines a 97 GT vert. O2 sensor, bank1 downstream. 2 ways to get rid of it. Tuner (expensive), or mil delete able (no tune). I tuned mine. Used tuner to turn off rear O2s. $150 just sittin there to plug the hole. LOL.
