Need some advice/help

ok so while being new to the forum i have a question on my car. first off i have a 96 mustang gt, pi conversion, no cats to flowmaster 40 dumps, msd wires. at first i was running with a makeshift roush cold air intake. then i upgraded my tb and plenum 75mm all the way on both. Now comes the fun part...... after i upgraded tb and plenum, i had a mac ram air intake lyin around that went on my brothers 2002 mustang. now i knew that the mafs were different cause of the maf housing. so i got a maf from a 99 to 2001 crown vic, which has the iat seperate just like my mustang. the intake is about 4 inches and has a 6 inch filter. so i installed it, then reset my computer so it would relearn it self. now after 2 days i got mil light, sayin i run too lean on both banks. i thought duhhh lol cause of the intake but decided to wait on it a bit. now the kicker....... i went back to a bbk intake where i decided to keep it ram intake style. so bbk pipe to my original maf housing and original maf plus a 4 inch filter. now when i relearnd the computer, it runs way too rich now.....and also has no go after 3500, it boggs out. so i decided to go back to the mac intake. but now i sound like a carbed car. so my question to all of u knowledgable ppl is wtf is goin on lol. i run way too rich with the bbk intake, but too lean with the mac intake. Im running the mac atm so that way i can atleast go to and from work, but are a little worried about it. If its a tune i need then that would confirm alot but it does feel like its something messin with my idle. and so far i havent found any vacuum leaks (used some carb cleaner and sprayed it everywhere listening for a increase in rpms but no positive result) So i come to u my friends for advice and suggestions. i appreciate any i get to resolve my dilema and im leaning towards the iac somehow but cant pinpoint it.

Man slow down the maf controls everything like idle, fuel, air intake just about everything change maf means tune put the one for your comp or have it tuned to run with your car they are not inter changeable use your maf or find a shop to tune it parameter dont just reset your car is going nuts when you do that you cant confuse it or it wont run

Re: Need some advice/help

here is the thing, my maf doesnt fit the location for the housing, and when i used my maf with my housing i ran wayyy to rich and started boggin out. the maf i used fit the housing, and is like mine with the iat seperate not like the 2002 and up which have an integrated iat. but i did revert to my old maf and housing for it, and it didnt run right, it ran rich as balls and would bog after 3k. so im lost atm on wtf is goin on
