Nitrous and some drag radials would be the cheapest way to go then with a tube k-member with a-arms and coil overs and a good rear set up as well should put you up ahead. Thats till he gets h/c/i then you'll really need boost

A year or two ago we built a 408 nitrous 99 camaro with a 400 that thing runs mid 9 and is a street car, those the lsx engines are very good at making power. But that stock rear tuck a dump on the very first launch lol

Th400 is good, but I think the 4r70w is a good one also

To be honest I've owned both camaro and mustang from the 90s and they both have their own cheap feel to them, but what 90s car didn't.

I trust the mustang much more than I could ever trust a 90s f-body v8 cuz they put more horsepower than some of the parts could handle, so stuff is always breaking on those cars. Also those lt1 and ls1 motors are *****es to work on.

I had a leny 4r70w then went with a c4 that only lasted 2 months then I ended up with a glide not only did it last longer it also droped 3 tenths off my 1/4 and 5 tenths from when I had the leny.
