Kenne Bell

Just bought a 1.7 Kenne Bell and was wondering how difficult it is to install it yourself. Any input would be awesome!

Saw on a site it takes 10 hours garage tools and a mid to high level of work if im correct. I've never done one, apparently, but I dont think it should be too much of a pain. More mechanic skills you own the better

I've never done it myself but I know it's not to much more difficult then replacing the intake manifold which I have done before.

Of course there's more to it then that but it's not extreme. I cammed my car myself and the highest level of experience I had prior was spring and shocks in the rear. It can't be to difficult just take your time.

If Money is not a BIG issue, then let the Pro's do it, I would not trust anyone else to install it on my car, not even myself, and I have a little Mechanical skill.

I helped my buddy swap a Whipple on his GT500 and it was pretty easy, yes I know it's factory supercharged, but there were clear directions for every little bit. Just take your time and you could get it done over a weekend I would think.

I watched a video on yourtube of 2 guys installing one on a 12 5.0 and it took them like 10 hours. I'm sure its close to the sake on our cars

A buddy of mine bought a blowzilla for his Roush. Took him 2 days to put it in. Lots of saudering, boost a pump also took some time. It's do-able, schedule a weekend, start Friday night.

Took me 5 1/2 hours from start to finish. Did it solo so worst part was lifting it over the fender being its 75 pounds. It's all pretty easy if you have instructions. Worst part for me was the bap. Good luck

This guy is good! It took me about 10 hrs For the install , I have a intercooler set up which added 3 hours alone between the wiring and running the hoses and also modding my radiator hosed to clear the inter cooler , also spent a little modding the block to clear the discharge tube on the kenne bell, the boost a pump took some time to wire up and I would get it on a dyno ASAP cuz I don't trust the tune they send you

I ran there canned tune for several months, never had a issue. Worst part of the bap was running the wires up through the car. Everything else was straight forward. I have also done several installs over the years. Just follow the instructions and take your time.
