Quuestion

I have a 03 mach 1 and I straight pipped it and now it has a bogging problem because the back pressure would 12 inch cherry bombs fix it?

Is it bogging because of the lack of backpressure?

Your cars "bogging problem" is do to some thing else!.. You have no back pressure because of your straight pipes!.. Perhaps you need to adjust your tune or get a tuner for it!..

So would cherry bomb be enough back pressure? Or a waste of money cause I want it to be loud and run right

---------- Post added at 08:17 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:16 PM ----------

I wanna get a tuner but I wanna wait and go with something cheaper for now

How did you come to the conclusion that the straight pipes are the reason you're bogging?

The car was built from the factory to have back pressure.. When u remove every restriction on the exhaust it's not going to run the way it was programmed to run.. Needs a re tune

Getting a different muffler is going to do nothing for ya but change how it sounds!.. Save your cash up and get a tuner!.. Diablo or SCT are good choices!..

Not really true!.. I have a buddy with full exhaust and other bolt ons with no tune at all!.. Runs just fine!.. The back pressure is a side effect from the factory having to meet certain emissions and sound restrictions from the factory!..

Which is why the computer is there to sense changes in the A/F ratio. Removing the mufflers isn't gonna create so much of an increase in airflow that the computer can't handle it.

It could sill be the problem. If its not delivering as much fuel as it should be that could cause you to bog
