The Perfect Launch

So i've seen a lot of questions on here about how to launch your stang! But every different type of stang is different in its own way. So What is the best way to launch from a dig and from a roll? Im talkin RPM's, how to let out the clutch, which gear to start in from a dig and which gear is best for different speeds when starting from a roll?!? I need detail guys!! Everybody has there opinions! so please share yours!

For me with the blower second gear at 4700rpms is at 48 mph that's a great launch gets you straight into boost. And it pulls hard on the top end. I pulled 3-4 car lengths on a 22psi modded wrx from that.

Since the vortech isn't intercooled was it a pain to install a cooling system? Should o go with vortech or procharger!

Hold brake and the 3200 stall with a shift light does the rest. Even when I'm playing on the street from a red light then only thing I'm ever worried about is an AWD Porsche with 550-600hp

Ya you can have a corvette but if you can't get the launch down then all that power is pretty much worthless!

Do the vortech and procharger make about the same power. I want to push about 8 psi... will I be safe in a stock motor?!

Re: The Perfect Launch

In my car, from a Dig I'll usually launch about 2500 RPMs, you really have to feel your car out more to know what it likes/ doesn't like.

should be okay running low psi, but if you decide to get forged internals and turn up the boost, svt focus pumps or cobra pumps and bigger injectors

I have the focus pump and it's pretty good. I would get an aviator pump though or the 340 Stryker pump. Stock won't work with 8psi. And to answer your earlier question psi for psi vortech and procharger make about the same numbers. I run my vortech at 8 psi on stock internals and I make just under 400 at the wheela
