Cats mpg?

I've heard people say removing cats decrease ur mpg?? But I, and other people say it increases. Which is it?

In my 96gt with clogged cats I saw a jump of 3 mpg highway and 2 mpg city after swapping to an offroad H. It was a nice surprise.

Hey I took my mufflers off my mach 1 and it started bogging because of back pressure if I was to take my cats off and put cherry bombs on would that be enough back pressure?

Increase means custom tuning, plain and simle

No cats is illegal in most states except race only; that means no street. I keep mine legal.

Yeah my state doesn't either and I got the prochamber and i can drive next to a cop and not get pulled over and be loud when I want to mash the pedal, it gives the car a more deep rumble sound and it's still loud and turns heads but without being stupid loud lol

I know. I got rid of all of them. It sounded great and It definitely picked up some low end torque and mileage. Ill be doing my mach 1 sooner or later.

Do you have just the stock gt mufflers with the pro chamber? Or do you also have different mufflers?
I was wanting to get pro chamber and new mufflers and wanna do the pro chamber first but not sure if it will be loud enough

Wife's auto gt gets 18 city 22 hwy with intake/offroad h/borla catback. I don't complain about that mileage.
