Automatic doorlocks

Is there a way to disable the automatic doorlocks on a 96 mustang gt I bought the car 3 days ago and have locked my keys in it 12 times lol I have a spare in my wallet but want to know if I can just disable that feature???

To my knowledge I never even knew the 96 could lock on its own. Or are you talking about the switch?

Yep turn the key off close the door and 15 seconds later there locked

Uh...is that aftermarket maybe ? Cause my 96 doesn't do that.

I have a viper alarm and the shop that install it set it up so it would only arm but not lock only if you used the key pad to lock it

So I finnaly found the ****er its aftermarket its a pulse security module pro

They worked fine I just didn't want em no more so I pulled out all 3 inline fuses now the doors don't automatically lock no more locking my keys in the car lol
