How to get window scoops to stick!

I bought the American muscle window scoop for a 99-04 mustang an had the painted and ever thing put the 3m tape an adhesive booster on it and it still don't stick right... Is there any after market stuff that will work? I don't want to be driving 60 and them fly off? Any tips or product to use? Thanks

I usually have good luck using denatured alcohol to clean off the area the adhesive will stick to and 3M double sided tape.

Auto parts store. You shouldn't need any adhesive with the double sided tape.
Most importantly, follow the directions, clean the area and do not touch the tape adhesive with your fingers.

You're welcome.

If you ever do need an adhesive for rubber door seals or other weatherstripping, use the 3M Super Weatherstrip adhesive (Note: For some strange reason the yellow is stronger than the black ). Again follow the directions closely and it will stick almost anything to a painted surface.

Masafreah,

I am sorry to hear that you are having some issues with getting the 3M tape to stick.

All that advise given above is great! I agree with everything said so far.

Make sure you follow the instructions very closely. If there was wax or anything like that on the hood, you will have a hard time getting it to stick.(we include alcohol wipes that you must use). Also if your finger tips touch to the 3M tape it instantly looses the adhesive grip. If you are out of 3M tape, local parts stores sell all sorts of double sided tape.

Let me know if there is anything I can do to help!

- Dan

Thanks Dan I gave it all a wipe down before and followed instructions maybe it's just to hot out side? It was 100-105 so maybe that had something to do with it I'm gonna give it another go today I see when I can get some more 3m tape at auto zone so I'll pick some up thanks Dan.!
