Engine build

I want to f/i my car someday but dont want to risk blowing up my engine. Ive been looking into forged internal kits on stage3motorsports but i just dont understand where to start lol
4.5 dished pistons?
10.5 ?
What do these numbers mean
Bigger the number the better?
Dished pistons?
Flat top?
Whats the difference?
Someone care to educate a noob about this??

I don't know a lot but here goes:
The 4.5 I don't know, depends on if that's dished or domes
The 10.5 is compression ratio. If you want to go FI then you want something much lower, usually 8.5 or or 9:1 is what most people go with.
Dished, flat top, and domed pistons are the type of piston. Imagine concave, flat, and convex type if that puts it similar.

Ok, so the numbers it lists are how much of a dish your are getting. The bigger the number, the bigger the dish, the lower your compression ratio.

What about compatibilty? What do i need to change to accommodate these changes like heads? Does it matter if i just throw this into a stock block and cylinder heads? Or is this where the term "bore" comes into use hahahaha i feel so hopeless

Your bore is how wide your cylinders are. Most people when they build an engine will "refresh" the block, basically cut a wire hole in the block. When you do that you need to order a piston that's gas been sized up to that new bore. You don't need new heads but it definitely helps to get at least a port and polish job on the stock heads. I would do cams also.
