A friend has a set of 03 cobra wheels with tires which look to be in good shape for 325. They arent chrome but the polished silver look, they are actually wheels that came on the cobras. Should I get them?

He wont come down....he said 300 even if I came to get them and then 325 if he brings them to me. But im thinking im going to pass because I want rims like this but chrome. Plus I think they are 17x 8 and I want 9's. Oh yea I forgot to say, if you look at the rim thats up right, doesnt it look like its sorta bent in the left corner there?

Or at the very least they're pretty dirty and you can see some imperfections in the face of it, like curb rash and stuff

Well if I were you I'd get them, I just ordered some staggered chrome ones for $1200... I would have rather paid $325 lol

03/04 cobra wheels are 17x9 which is exactly what those are. 99/01 cobra wheels/GT wheels from 94-2004 are 17x8, but those look def like 17x9s. What size tire is that? I zoomed in and they look like 275/17/40s and if they are they're most def 17x9s. that is a great price man especially with tires. Even if they are not the best tires thats a good deal. My bullets cost me 400 with tires that were pretty crappy so i'd def take them.

Speaking of bent rims. Who has had thier rims re-surfaced/straightened. How do they turn out and how much did you pay?

My dad had two of his rims straighten out and re-surfaced from his truck, and they actually looked like new! We couldn't tell them apart from the others and only paid like about 50?

I really couldn't answer this because our friend recommended us the guy, and he works in repair and collision and is also a professional welder.

I have looked for someone to do this in the Salt Lake City area and only found one guy who does it. I am looking into buying the equipment to do wheel repair and have a mobile set up so I can service a few different tire shops in the area.

Even just the tires alone would go new for about at least $600 at minimum, now that's obviously not the case but the tires could go for 2-300 + I'd say you could get the same for just the wheels so I'd say you would get at least 450 minimum

aftermarkets wont be much more than those BUT those SVT center caps are worth about 20 each used.

Ahhh a friend of my dads said he got on the svt website and he said found out 99 and up were different then 98. I've done told dude I wasn't going to get them because of that. Thinking i might just throw some chrome tq thrust wheels on there instead.

The only difference is backspacing but it's just about right

Aw Okie well I'm not going to chance it with being over here and a chance they might not. I will just order some tq thrust wheels for that year and know they will work.
