Re: TF Track heat

The whole stock intake manifold will be replaced. I need to look at the instructions that came with my TrickFlow Track Heat to be able to answer your questions about the TB.

Better horse power? I haven't checked yet. MMFF did a review on the intake maniford. They reported not much improved HP, but a smoother transition theough the power band. They thought with more mods the improved HP would be seen. I'll see if I still have that issue as well.

I'll try to get back with this info tomorrow.

My Lil2kpony is a 2000 GT convertible.

thx,
Dave

Re: TF Track heat

1) The instructions state the TrickFlow Track Heat is for 1999 - 2004 4.6L SOHC engines.
2) Additional parts? Yes, Intake gaskets
3) TB? The OE TB was used again. If I remember correctly...The OE TB is 70 mm across and the opening where the TB attaches to the Track Heat is 75 mm. I saw no reason to put a larger TB on.
4) The kit comes with a CAI tube specific for the Track Heat. Before the Track Heat was installed I had a BBK CAI on the car. Now all that is left of the BBK CAI is from the MAF out to the air filter. The Track Heat CAI tube mounts up to the stock MAF assembly.
5) The review magazine review of the Track Heat? I'm still looking for it.
6) Call the TrickFlow technical staff to have more questions answered at (330) 630-1555.

Where are my pics? I still need to take them. Hopefully this week...
