It's really not that bad. It's sucks, but that's not gonna be too bad to repair.

Damn man I feel for ya. Two years ago I got hit at an intersection, T-Boned. The guy crushed my driver door, reversed and sped off around me. I've never felt so much anger in my life so I know how you must feel!

A pretty big inconvenience and money out of his pocket which he should of never had to pay.

Oh yes, I agree it sucks but it coulda been much worse. I've been without my car for a week already. Hit and run as well, except mine is not drivable. It's sitting in my driveway waiting for my insurance to clear the claim.

How much? Should I file it with insurance or will it be less hassle and cheaper than my deductible?

Do you have full coverage?

Never mind you've answered that. That could easily cost as much as 1,000 to repair. You could find shops that'll do it for half the cost depending on their quality.

I would just pay outa pocket, it might not be worth getting your insurance involved even if it's a little more then your deductible. You really need to set your sights on finding out who bumped you. It might be a neighbor? Maybe early in the morning they backed into your car and didn't realize it?

I already asked a couple neighbors and asked if they heard or seen anything and nope. But I guess Ima pay out the pocket which totally sucks

Deductible is whatever you have it set up to. Mines 1000, most people have 500, I even think some people have 0 ( not sure ). But you make a claim and you pay that, plus they might even increase your rates. I got rear ended 2 weeks ago. The person who hit me insurance payed for it. But the repair for a bumper was 800 from Caliber for very light damage. This is difficult because every shop can make it look shiny and great. But it's the long lasting quality you'll never know about unless they warranty it.

Just take it to a shop you know is good and ask for an estimate. My hood needs repainted on my jeep from another hood bouncing off it and to fix mine at a shop I know was 426 bucks, insurance wrote me a check for 841 because the grill got banged up as well.

Dont waste your money on an alarm system. Get your self a surveillance system for your house and have one or 2 cameras that are directly on your car

If your insurance is going to cover all of it. Find a shop that warranty their work for everything ( fades, chips, blemishes, etc). Ask what paints they use, why they use that paint, ask if they tint the paint to color match and all. What process they are going to use. I usually avoid shops that always hesitate or have difficulty answering questions. Ask to look at the cars they are working on or have finished. If they tell you no then walk out, on to the next place. I chose Caliber down here where I live.

My worst nightmare.

Take the rear seat apart too, check for internal damage. Get all fixed. You have to mention damage during the claim inspection or they could fudge it.

Depends on the system and how many cameras you get but you can probably find a decent one around 300 with 2 cameras and a dvr which you can just hook up to a computer or tv. The best part is you can connect on your system online and you can go online from your ohone or anothee computer and see whats going on.

Re: Aww wtf hit n run ):

I know the feeling man, when I bought my GT I didnt have it for like ten mins. I stopped into Sonic for a sweet tea and this girl next to me opend her door like she had all the room in the world and hit my car. It put a nice dent in the pass side quarter panel. OOOH brother, that is one day I wanted to choke a female I was so mad.....the manager at sonic so happen to see it and saw how furious I was I got the sweet tea for free to calm me down. People dont understand, when it comes to cars like yours, mine, and everyone elses on here you take alot of pride in them.

On yours I would still get a estimate but also file a hit and run report with the cops just in case you come across the person that did it. So where if the person that hit it comes forward and says you hit them first, you will be covered just a FYI. You also might be able to talk to a place that removes dents and see if they can get it out, ive seen them do wonders on some stuff and save you some money if the paint isnt scratched up.

Sorry to hear, I hate when dishonest people do things like that. Hopefully karma will rear her ugly head and give that person crabs.
